Kay was born in Treaty 13, on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples (Toronto, Ontario) where she currently resides. Prior to Ashoka Canada, she worked with various initiatives that supported families, women and youth. In 2017, Kay earned a BA from York University with a focus on Humanities and Gender & Women’s Studies. She is now the Network and Partnership Manager at Ashoka Canada where she fosters program and network development through project management and event coordination. Kay is fuelled by her love for people and the desire to learn more about who they are at the core.
