I believe that storytelling is a powerful tool for equitable and community-based work– all our unique experiences showcase the best in humanity and continue to propel us towards inclusive social change and impact.
Michelle has always been interested in the intersections between gender, law and development and holds community building close to her heart. As a Senior Manager, Venture and Network Engagement, she leads the search and selection of Ashoka Fellows with the goal of growing a robust network that reflects communities across Canada. Michelle holds a Masters in Global Affairs from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Arthur Kroeger College. She has experience working for think tanks and international organizations on issues of gender, policy and development, social impact, and justice.
Michelle currently resides in Toronto on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.
When she’s not working, Michelle enjoys trying new cuisines, taking long walks, and listening to music.
